Chocolate Peppermint Body Butter

If you ladies are anything like me, this cold, dry air is doing a number on your skin. Regular lotion isn't cutting it. I'm finally out of my Manuka Orange Body Butter so it's time to make more body butter.  One of my favorite things about cooler weather is hot chocolate. Sometimes I top it with homemade coconut whipped cream. Other times I  sprinkle on some cinnamon or add a drop of Young Living Peppermint Essential Oil. I decided to make a winter themed body butter based on one of my favorite flavors of the season - Chocolate Peppermint. Here's how I did it.

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup organic raw cocoa butter (Henna Sooq)

  • 1/2 cup pure mango butter (Better Shea Butter on Amazon)

  • 1/2 cup pure organic sweet almond oil (Mother Nature's Essentials)

  • 1/2 cup organic coconut oil (Whole Foods)

  • Five tsp raw chocolate powder

  • Young Living Peppermint Essential Oil

Instructions:

  • Slowly melt the cocoa butter and mango butter in a heat-safe bowl over a saucepan filled with water (simmer on low heat)

  • Add the coconut oil to this mixture and stir until melted

  • Place the chocolate powder in a small bowl

  • Add a small amount of sweet almond oil and stir to dissolve

  • Add this mixture and the remainder of the sweet almond oil to the larger bowl

  • Allow to cool for 10 minutes then place in the freezer until hard

  • Mix in 15 drops of the Peppermint Essential Oil

  • Whip for 5 minutes or until light and fluffy. The more air whipped into the mixture the better.

Apply a small amount to your body or your hair and enjoy this calorie free all-natural treat.
